AlcoTrack vs Reframe

Reframe is a course you take: a 160-day program of daily lessons and tasks, a coach who checks in, live meetings, a community, meditations, and a subscription after a week's trial. AlcoTrack is a diary you keep: a drink goes in, a blood alcohol estimate comes out, the days you skipped get counted, and nothing leaves the phone. They are not really rivals, which is the useful thing to know before you pick.

The short version

If you want to be taught and accompanied, Reframe has the structure and the people, and it is built for both cutting back and quitting. If you want to see the number, the curve and your own data without a program around it, AlcoTrack does that for free. Reframe never shows a blood alcohol estimate, and its listings say your data is collected and, on iOS, used to track you across other apps; AlcoTrack's log never leaves the phone.

Where Reframe is better

  • A structured 160-day course with daily lessons and tasks, not just a diary.
  • A coach who checks in daily, and a certified recovery coach one-to-one on the premium tier.
  • Live meetings and a private community.
  • Meditations and games for cravings.
  • iOS as well as Android.

Where AlcoTrack is better

  • A live blood alcohol estimate with the hour it reaches zero. Reframe has none.
  • Sleep, resting heart rate and HRV from your watch next to the nights you drank.
  • No account, no subscription for the diary, and the log stays on the phone.
  • An alcohol-free calendar with streaks, pledges and achievements.
  • 80 cocktail recipes with the maths done, hydration reminders, a morning check-in.

Every Reframe cell comes from its Google Play listing and its App Store listing (prices and the privacy label) as they read on 25 October 2026. "Not offered" means neither mentions it. German advertising law asks a comparison to be objective and checkable, which is also simply the honest way to do it. If a cell has gone stale, tell me.

Which one

If you want a program, Reframe, and the seven-day trial is long enough to know whether daily lessons suit you before the subscription begins. If you want the diary and the number, AlcoTrack, with nothing to cancel. Running both is not silly: the course for the thinking, the diary for the evidence.
