AlcoTrack vs MyDrinkaware
MyDrinkaware comes from Drinkaware, the UK's alcohol education charity, and it does what a charity's app should: units, calories, drink-free days, a goal, a word of support, no ads and no price. AlcoTrack is a diary built around a blood alcohol estimate and the data your watch records, from a developer rather than a charity, free with ads. On units they overlap. On everything else they diverge.
The short version
If you drink in the UK and think in units, MyDrinkaware speaks that language natively, flags a binge, and asks you how you slept. It has no blood alcohol estimate, and its Play listing says it may share location, activity and device identifiers with third parties, which is an odd thing for a charity app to do. AlcoTrack shows the curve, reads the sleep your watch actually measured, and keeps the log on the phone.

Every MyDrinkaware cell comes from its Google Play listing, including the data safety section, and its App Store listing as they read on 25 October 2026. "Not offered" means neither mentions it. German advertising law asks a comparison to be objective and checkable, which is also simply the honest way to do it. If a cell has gone stale, tell me.
