AlcoTrack vs AlcoDroid

Two Android apps that do the same core thing: you log a drink, they estimate your blood alcohol and keep the diary. Both are free with ads, both work without an account, both keep the log on the phone. The difference is what sits around that core.

Same name, different app

AlcoTrack was called AlcDroid, without the second o, from 2012 until it was renamed. AlcoDroid by Myrecek is a different app by a different developer and has been on Google Play since February 2011. People land here looking for either one. If you want the app that used to be AlcDroid, you are in the right place: your old data imports. If you want Myrecek's AlcoDroid, it is here on Google Play, and the rest of this page is about how the two compare.

The short version

AlcoDroid is the diary with the maths and nothing else, and it has been that, reliably, for over a decade. Its trends go deeper than AlcoTrack's in one direction: breakdowns by drink and by alcohol strength, and a three-month trailing average. AlcoTrack is the diary plus everything I thought belonged next to it: the nights your watch recorded, an alcohol-free calendar with streaks, an AI coach that reads the log, cocktails with the maths done, hydration nudges and a morning check-in.

Where AlcoDroid is better

  • Breaks consumption, spending, drink count or volume down by drink name or by ABV, with donut charts.
  • Monthly charts carry a trailing three-month average.
  • Exports daily, weekly or monthly statistics as files, not only the raw log.
  • Removing the ads is one purchase; there is no subscription at all.

Where AlcoTrack is better

  • Reads sleep, resting heart rate and HRV from Health Connect and puts drinking nights next to sober ones.
  • An AI coach that answers from your own log and shows which numbers it used.
  • An alcohol-free calendar with streaks, pledges and achievements, not just a share.
  • Several goals at once: a weekly limit, a budget, a session BAC cap, a drinking-days cap.
  • 80 cocktail recipes, hydration reminders, a morning check-in, 28 languages.

Every AlcoDroid cell is taken from its own Google Play listing as it read on 25 October 2026; "not offered" means the listing does not mention it. German advertising law asks a comparison like this to be objective and checkable, which is also simply the honest way to do it. If a cell has gone stale, tell me.

Which one

If you want a diary with the maths and no opinions, AlcoDroid has been exactly that for years. If you want the diary to talk to your watch, to count the days you skipped, and to answer a question about last week, AlcoTrack. Both are free and neither wants an account, so the cheap test is to log the same evening in each and see which one tells you more the next morning.
